For those who want to know more after looking at the play area blog post, this is the area where you can learn more about the layout of the creature cards in the Catalion TCG.
Scroll down and you will find a labeled blank card and an example of how one of the cards will look when put together for a first stage and third stage creature, for the example you will see Rellagon which is one of the main creatures for the testing decks that I am putting together to test the game
The Base Card Layout
The cards in Catalion are designed to be straight forward for anyone to pick up and understand, the only real drastic change is that the colours on the card and the tribe symbol will reflect the tribe the creature is from, if you are unsure about what the tribes and colours are go check out the Intro to the Tribes.
Each symbol is shown the top left to allow you to easily see the trib when it is in your hand.
Next is the art, an important aspect of the trading card that really is make or break to if people will like a card, at this stage I personally design all the trading card artworks, I do not use any AI and will never let it create parts of my TCG.
In the center area from left to right we first have the Attack of the Creature, this is how much damage it can dish out to your opponent in a regular attack. In the middle is the name of the Creature, very important for advancing them in the stages and for some aspects yet to be revealed. Finally on the right in this section is the Health of the Creature, the higher it is the more damage it can take, which can be useful in late game scenarios.
At the very base of the card you get the Effect and Advancement info, when a Creature is higher than stage 1 it will have "can only by summoned by advancing ...." followed by a Creatures name. Some Species and Creatures will share common effects with some minor tweaking in how strong it is or the naming in order to match the Species vibe.
